The 17th ECO Summit began on Friday in the city of Khankendi, Azerbaijan. The summit is attended by the heads of state and government of ECO member states, ministers, ECO observers, special guests from non-ECO member states, and heads of international organizations.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reviewed ongoing cooperation between the two countries across various fields during a meeting, expressing satisfaction with the progress in implementing decisions from their last meeting to strengthen bilateral relations.

The Pakistani Prime Minister praised the Iranian President’s leadership role during the Zionist regime’s imposed war, emphasizing Islamabad’s solidarity and unwavering support for Iran, as well as close cooperation with Tehran for regional peace.
