Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the joint military aggression by Israel and the United States has placed regional and global peace and security in unprecedented danger.

He described the attacks as a clear violation of Iran’s sovereignty and a breach of the UN Charter and international legal norms.

Araghchi further emphasized that the Iranian people are resolute in defending their sovereignty withe the Islamic Republic’s armed forces staying fully prepared to confront any reckless move, as demonstrated during Iran’s recent 12-day defense campaign.

Go deeper:

The Iran–Venezuela alignment reflects South–South solidarity and resistance to U.S. global dominance. Both countries have faced sanctions, political pressure, and military threats from Washington, prompting stronger cooperation. Iran’s strategy now includes rallying international legal arguments to challenge the legitimacy of U.S. and Israeli brutal actions while reinforcing its domestic and regional narrative of strength and resistance.
